E75 – Yu Yu Hakusho Part 1

Sometimes the one good deed you do in your life gets you killed.

For Yusuke Urameshi, death is just the beginning of a fantastical journey that will eventually return him to earth with cool powers. Meanwhile, Michael takes issue with some problematic jokes, Peter appreciates the impact of the violence, and both hosts agree that Kuwabara is the best character.

Also included: a new product that takes all the guesswork out of soul-stealing, an over-involved demon backstory, the world Kuwabara lives in.

Yu Yu Hakusho Part 2 will release on October 10th

MS18 – Pretty Sammy

This week, we take a trip down memory lane (sort of) and revisit the cast of Tenchi in yet another canonically distinct show with the same characters and animation style.

Oh, and it features some decent jokes about magical girls, as well.

E74 – Sailor Moon R: The Movie

When trouble takes root, the Sailor Scouts are there to weed it out (and other plant puns)!

A mysterious figure from Darien’s past arrives on earth to repay an old debt, and things quickly spiral out of control. Meanwhile, Peter compares Sailor Moon to a changing of the seasons, Michael defines “Sidestory Syndrome”, and both hosts argue over whether Sailor Moon is meant to have died in the end.

Also included: Peter’s feelings on a classic science fiction movie, Michael defends Pokemon: The Movie, Sailor V

Yu Yu Hakusho Part 1 will release on September 26th

E73 – Mobile Suit Gundam Conclusion

The One Year War is finally over. Peace reigns… for now.

White Base hurtles towards destruction as it attacks multiple Zeon space fortresses. Meanwhile, Michael realizes the happy ending is, retroactively, a fairly bleak one, Peter reveals his MAHQ chatroom username, and both hosts wish Lalah wasn’t cut out of the show as much.

Also included: Texan mobile suits, a Ferris Bueller fanfiction that writes itself, Zakrello hate.

Sailor Moon R: The Movie will release on September 12th

MS16 – Space Runaway Ideon

Three trucks merge into a super robot that causes horrifying destruction. Guess that’s what happens when Tomino directs a super robot show.

This week in Tomino month, the Buff Clan and the inhabitants of planet Solo begin fighting a meaningless war based on a misunderstanding, and Michael and Peter try to figure it out.

E72 – Mobile Suit Gundam Part 3

White Base kicks things into overdrive, managing to carve through three arcs in one go!

Char Aznable returns, and the Black Tri-Stars get their fifteen minutes of fame.  Meanwhile, Michael isn’t sold on the G-Armor designs, Peter reveals his favorite aquatic Zeon mobile suit, and both hosts put the Zock design on blast.

Also included: Zeonic Popeyes, Bigro advertisement, the death of seemingly every side character

Mobile Suit Gundam Conclusion will release on August 29th

MS15 – Aura Battler Dunbine

When giant robots and fantasy collide, we apparently end up with a guy driving a motorcycle behind a bunch of unicorn-mounted cavalry.

This week in Tomino month, we take a look at Aura Battler Dunbine, an odd show that takes place below the surface of the earth.

E71 – Mobile Suit Gundam Part 2

It’s the start of Tomino Month, with the introduction of the Gouf mobile suit, and a sympathetic adversary.

White Base continues its trek towards the main Federation force, encountering a commando unit lead by the best Gundam character. Meanwhile, Peter appreciates the absence of Char, Michael talks about a memory of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz, and both hosts speculate about what M’Quve’s mines could be hiding.

Also included: planning a birthday party, Newtype foreshadowing, Momuro

Mobile Suit Gundam Part 3 will release on August 15th

MS14 – Fang of the Sun Dougram

Fang of the Sun Dougram, a show about a kid who learns how to pilot a giant robot and uses it to fight relatively realistic battles against the sinister Earth Federation. Sound familiar?

This week, Michael and Peter discuss a descendant of Mobile Suit Gundam, and another example of the Real Robot Genre.
