E88 – Sailor Moon S Part 1

Who ARE these mysterious new Sailor Scouts? Surely they can’t be the identical people we just met…

The Sailor Scouts are joined by new friends, opposed by new foes, and voiced by new actors. Meanwhile, Michael is bothered by wasted potential drama, Peter suggests the main cast of this show may suffer from Face Blindness, and both hosts once again wonder if Sailor Moon is actually enjoyable.

Also included: favorite Daimon designs, interminable cutscene special attacks, slang clangers.

Sailor Moon S Part 2 will release on April 10th

MS31 – Gate Keepers

Teenagers in 1969 fight alien Invaders with magic powers and weird mecha. Sounds about right.

E87 – Blue Submarine No. 6

The world is flooded, half-human hybrids are trying to annihilate the last of humanity, and the mad scientist behind it all just wants everyone to get along.

And, of course, every battle is rendered in amazing turn of the century CGI. Meanwhile, Peter confuses the name of the mini-subs, Michael compares elements to G-Saviour, and both hosts try to determine exactly what Verg is actually saying.

Also included: Muppets anime, Cell’s motives, armchair science.

Sailor Moon S Part 1 will release Mar 27th

MS30 – SWAT Kats

This looks like a job for the SWAT Kats!

Two masked vigilantes with access to a jet and a bunch of weird missiles fight to save Megakat city from various vile villains. Also, everyone’s a cat-person.
