E120 – The Big O Part 2

A season co-produced by Cartoon Network doesn’t pull any punches, be they giant-robot sized and literal or simply mindbending twists.

Roger Smith wakes up in an alternate Paradigm City, where none of the trappings of this show exist. It kind of makes sense, once things wrap up. Meanwhile, Michael is frustrated by a comedy focused episode, Peter points out Michael’s tendency to say he “actually” likes something as though that’s uncommon, and both hosts caution about monumental spoilers.

Also included: playing with toys, Michael’s confusion with barely-related things, further argument as to whether “Red” Dorothy is a robot

Transformers: Armada Part 1 will release July 15

NOTE: we incorrectly refer to episode 10 as “Dragon’s Blood”. The actual title is “Dragon’s Brood”.

The New Batman Adventures Conclusion will release October 9th

E93 – G Gundam

We’ve been waiting so long for this moment…

Gundams fight! And they fight! And they continue fighting, until only one is left. Meanwhile, Michael is suitably satisfied with Master Asia (The Undefeated of the East), Peter appreciates some of the technological body horror aspects of the DG cells, and both hosts shake their heads at the weird stereotyping that runs throughout the show.

Also included: Robo John McClane, Master Asia’s awesome martial arts, Neo Mexico: Seriously Guys?

G Gundam Part 2 will release on June 19th

E88 – Sailor Moon S Part 1

Who ARE these mysterious new Sailor Scouts? Surely they can’t be the identical people we just met…

The Sailor Scouts are joined by new friends, opposed by new foes, and voiced by new actors. Meanwhile, Michael is bothered by wasted potential drama, Peter suggests the main cast of this show may suffer from Face Blindness, and both hosts once again wonder if Sailor Moon is actually enjoyable.

Also included: favorite Daimon designs, interminable cutscene special attacks, slang clangers.

Sailor Moon S Part 2 will release on April 10th

E78 – Samurai Jack Part 1

The opposite of Back to the Future.

A young samurai is thrown into the far future by an evil spirit called Aku, only to find that Aku has taken over the world and remade it in his own image. For Yusuke Urameshi, death is just the beginning of a fantastical journey that will eventually return him to earth with cool powers. Meanwhile, Michael takes issue with some problematic jokes, Peter appreciates the impact of the violence, and both hosts agree that Kuwabara is the best character.

Also included: a new product that takes all the guesswork out of soul-stealing, an over-involved demon backstory, the world Kuwabara lives in.

Yu Yu Hakusho Part 2 will release on October 10th
