E135 – Dragon Ball Part 2

CONTENT NOTICE: Unfortunately, Dragon Ball has a LOT of humor based on sexual harassment and assault (we are NOT fans, for the record), so please proceed with caution.

Welcome to the World Martial Arts Tournament, where the best fighters in the world line up to get clobbered by Goku.

Goku meets his future best friend Krillin, and gets trained by the venerable, morally dubious Master Roshi. Meanwhile, Michael actually enjoys an episode, Peter talks about the funniest moment in the show, and both hosts continue to cringe at the show’s questionable subject matter for “jokes”.

Also included: multiple Simpsons references, the occasional hilarity of Dragon Ball, the best character Toriyama forgot

Turn-A Gundam part 1 will release February 24th

E134 – Dragon Ball Part 1

CONTENT NOTICE: Unfortunately, Dragon Ball has a LOT of humor based on sexual harassment and assault (we are NOT fans, for the record), so please proceed with caution.

An indestructible monkey boy and a vain teenage genius set out on a quest to find the seven magic Dragon Balls that can grant any wish.

For all the trouble they go through, these characters have some pretty basic wishes. Meanwhile, Michael is forced to reckon with his childhood in an uncomfortable way, Peter tries to find the silver lining, and both hosts struggle to explain the events of the show without sounding like total creeps.

Also included: “henchmens”, stanning for the Pilaf gang, Dragon Ball’s loose continuity

Dragon Ball Part 2 will release February 10th

E111 – Dragon Ball Z Part 17

In which Cell learns Instant Transmission through osmosis.

The Cell Games reach their finale (well, if you can still call them the Cell Games), as Gohan ascends beyond the power of even a Super Saiyan. Meanwhile, Michael voices some frustration with the naming conventions of Dragon Ball Z arcs, Peter enjoys an episode-long beam struggle, and both hosts try to separate the Cell Games Saga from the rest of the arc.

Also included: disbelief at Vegeta’s claim that he’ll never fight again, Cell’s extended vomiting scene, a rare reference to mascot characters of a non-Burger King fast food restaurant.

Hamtaro Grab Bag will release on February 26th

E110 – Dragon Ball Z Part 16

Has Goku LOST HIS MIND!? Why sending Gohan in to fight Cell was the WORST decision in Dragon Ball Z!

The Cell Games begin, but not before Mr. Satan and his bootlickers get to show off how useless they are. Meanwhile, Michael appreciates the father/son dynamics between Goku and Gohan, Peter quickly loses patience for Mr. Satan’s nonsense, and both hosts are surprised at the quality of the last episode of the block.

Also included: Another argument for Hercule Satan actually being quite strong for a normal person, robo-gore, and Peter’s superhero origin story.

Dragon Ball Z Part 17 will release February 12th

MS53 – Super Dragon Ball Heroes Revisited

As though you compressed Dragon Ball Z into a neutron star of fighting.

E86 – Dragon Ball Z Part 14

Semi-Perfect Cell turns out to be a bit of a crybaby.

Vegeta and Trunks exit the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, meaning that we get to see a new super saiyan form… I guess. Meanwhile, Peter talks Tien, Michael is irritated that Vegeta is once again manipulated into letting things get worse, and both hosts make a pact to never watch DBZ solo again.

Also included: the unfortunate death of a random fish, Vegeta’s training tips, PG shit-talking.

Blue Submarine Number 6 will release on March 6

E85 – Dragon Ball Z Part 13

A new villain threatens our heroes, and also slurps up a bunch of random civilians. Welcome… to Cell!

Is Goku still sick? You better believe it! Meanwhile, Michael realizes why he liked certain villains in Dragon Ball Z more than others, Peter shares his affinity with Android 16, and both hosts consider that Trunks really isn’t all that interesting a character.

Also included: editing filler, Cell’s DNA donors, Krillin and Goku’s relationship.

Dragon Ball Z Part 14 will release on February 27th

MS27 – Dragon Ball Super: Broly

GO, BROLY, BROLY, GO!

In the first Dragon Ball movie under the “Super” subheading, Akira Toriyama gives the fans what they want: the canonization of Broly, everybody’s favorite super saiyan, and a nearly hour-long fight sequence. What’s not to love?

E82 – Dragon Ball-a-thon

What have we done?

Goku attends high school, is bullied, and pines over a girl who dates his bully. Or, he’s called Monkey Boy. Meanwhile, Michael is astonished by the post-credits sequence of Dragonball: Evolution, Peter appreciates some wire-fu, and both hosts balk at the idea of a series-accurate Master Roshi.

Also included: dangerous pyrotechnics, pre-drinking nighttime adventures, a TV going green.

Dragon Ball Z Part 11 will release on January 16th
