E103 – Sailor Moon S: The Movie



A man saves a cat. Just like that screenwriting guide, but with some unexpected results.

An extraterrestrial object carries another villain towards Earth, and the Sailor Scouts are the only ones who can stop it. Meanwhile, Michael tries to justify having any regard for this movie, Peter laments the screeching voices of the villain’s minions, and both hosts conclude that the magic of Sailor Moon may be waning.

Also included: a terrifying forecast, Tuxedo Mask’s laziest entrance lines, the contractual obligations of unimportant Sailor Scouts.

E91 – Sailor Moon S Conclusion



Where did this baby come from, and what are we gonna do with it?

Sailor Moon faces her toughest foe yet, while Uranus trash-talks her. Meanwhile, Michael wonders why they bothered to have 5 witches, Peter makes and then immediately walks back a ridiculous claim, and both hosts would prefer if Hotaru wasn’t randomly made into a baby.

Also included: the Family Friendly meal delivery service, baby Tomoe, nanomachines.

E90 – Sailor Moon S Part 3



Rini makes a new friend. Surely she can’t be connected to the evil little girl Tomoe’s been talking to…

Tomoe’s civilian form is revealed. Meanwhile, Michael finds himself surprisingly engrossed in this block, Peter breathes a sigh of relief as identities are no longer shrouded in mystery, and both hosts find Hotaru to be a welcome addition to the cast.

Also included: Mimet or Eudial: who had it worse, Mimet’s hunk addiction, the sibilant sounds Sailor Moon seems set on shoving, uh… into our faces.

E89 – Sailor Moon S Part 2



With a new sub-villain on the scene everything changes… kinda.

The hunt for the Purity Chalice continues. Meanwhile, Michael over-empathizes with Serena, Peter is bothered by the lack of villain interaction, and both hosts are confounded by yet another temporary character death.

Also included: Pink Sugar Heart Attack, the Bureau of Bad Behavior, and should Transformers be rocks?

E88 – Sailor Moon S Part 1



Who ARE these mysterious new Sailor Scouts? Surely they can’t be the identical people we just met…

The Sailor Scouts are joined by new friends, opposed by new foes, and voiced by new actors. Meanwhile, Michael is bothered by wasted potential drama, Peter suggests the main cast of this show may suffer from Face Blindness, and both hosts once again wonder if Sailor Moon is actually enjoyable.

Also included: favorite Daimon designs, interminable cutscene special attacks, slang clangers.

E74 – Sailor Moon R: The Movie



When trouble takes root, the Sailor Scouts are there to weed it out (and other plant puns)!

A mysterious figure from Darien’s past arrives on earth to repay an old debt, and things quickly spiral out of control. Meanwhile, Peter compares Sailor Moon to a changing of the seasons, Michael defines “Sidestory Syndrome”, and both hosts argue over whether Sailor Moon is meant to have died in the end.

E59 – Sailor Moon R Conclusion



“FOOLS! YOU’LL NEVER DEFEAT THE POWER OF THE DOOM PHANTOM!”

Time travel, internecine villain struggles, and heroes-turned-bad set “The Lost Episodes” apart from the rest of Sailor Moon R, but maybe not far enough apart. Meanwhile, Michael signs Wiseman’s praises, Peter appreciates another animal-focused episode, and both hosts share a laugh about New Year’s Evil.

Also included: The Ultimate Life Form, Serena’s driver’s ed, and badass future Rini.

E58 – Sailor Moon R Part 2



Serena never gets a break, does she? She’s constantly berated by her friends, her cat, her boyfriend dumps her, and now even a girl from the future is giving her crap.

Yep, life is tough for a Sailor Scout, and things only get tougher. Meanwhile, Michael absurdly compares Sailor Moon villains to those from Zeta Gundam, Peter reveals a strange choice of introduction for a new character, and both hosts try to determine what Darien’s problem is.

Also included: Zeta Gundam naming conventions, a disturbing lack of Melvin, and the craziest monster-of-the-week death of all time.

E40 – Sailor Moon Conclusion



Darien gets taken by the Negaverse and brainwashed. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus hang out and go to the hairdresser.

We discover the hidden history of the Sailor Scouts, and what really happened to the moon kingdom. Meanwhile, Michael references a children’s book by Roger Hargreaves, Peter highlights some of the differences between the dub and the uncut version in the final episode, and both try to figure out how they actually feel about this dub.
