E126 – Yu Yu Hakusho Part 4



There’s a guy who evaporates his sweat into mist to provide cover for his attacks!

Team Urameshi battles on, with the tournament committee screwing them over at every turn. Guess that’s what you get when you enter a tournament filled with demons and rich crooks.

Meanwhile, Michael discovers another trope he doesn’t like very much, Peter argues for the merits of tournament arcs, and both hosts wonder who this mysterious masked fighter is.

Also included: comparing characters to Pokemon, chin goblins, what’s the deal with Puu?

E118 – Batman Beyond Part 4



Who is it knocking off members of the Justice League Unlimited? Probably the one you least suspect…

Batman’s back to his old tricks, so no more High School stuff, and a whole lot more Justice League and also an international terrorist organization. Meanwhile, Michael corrects peter’s pronunciation of “Ra’s” and gets confused about when Batman begins came out, Peter doesn’t particularly like a brief batman musical, and both hosts conclude that Batman Beyond is a pretty solid visit.

Also included: Silver Fox Bruce *and* Superman, the flaws of bingeing episodic programming, a sign of Zeta (Project)

E91 – Sailor Moon S Conclusion



Where did this baby come from, and what are we gonna do with it?

Sailor Moon faces her toughest foe yet, while Uranus trash-talks her. Meanwhile, Michael wonders why they bothered to have 5 witches, Peter makes and then immediately walks back a ridiculous claim, and both hosts would prefer if Hotaru wasn’t randomly made into a baby.

Also included: the Family Friendly meal delivery service, baby Tomoe, nanomachines.

E81 – Samurai Jack Part 4



Jack’s journey continues, before taking a long, long hiatus.

Some of Jack’s adversaries themselves have noble intentions, but that doesn’t matter much to the eponymous samurai. Meanwhile, Michael compares Jack to Batman, Peter is irritated by a baby, and both hosts agree on a recommendation.

Also included: different perspectives on villains, a fulfilled prophecy, and the redemption of the Scotsman.

E73 – Mobile Suit Gundam Conclusion



The One Year War is finally over. Peace reigns… for now.

White Base hurtles towards destruction as it attacks multiple Zeon space fortresses. Meanwhile, Michael realizes the happy ending is, retroactively, a fairly bleak one, Peter reveals his MAHQ chatroom username, and both hosts wish Lalah wasn’t cut out of the show as much.

Also included: Texan mobile suits, a Ferris Bueller fanfiction that writes itself, Zakrello hate.

Sailor Moon R: The Movie will release on September 12th


E67 – Beast Wars Conclusion



The Beast Wars reach their apex as relics from the past are recovered and old friends make their return…

Meanwhile, Michael compares season 3 of Beast Wars to the final season of Mad Men, Peter is disappointed by the season premiere, and both hosts attempt to describe Optimal Optimus’s appearance.

Also included: A Mainframe catchphrase, new character designs, what animal we would transform into

Episode 68 – G-Force will release on June 20.


E54 – Batman The Animated Series Part 4



Batman fights a werewolf. No, it isn’t a direct-to-DVD bootleg, this actually happens.

While Penguin enjoys some opera, Michael talks up some weird visuals in a Riddler episode, Peter is tired of Man-Bat, and both hosts discuss the dark end of Clayface.

Also included: Penguin’s All That, bootleg Martian Manhunter, Killer Croc’s boasting

E40 – Sailor Moon Conclusion



Darien gets taken by the Negaverse and brainwashed. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus hang out and go to the hairdresser.

We discover the hidden history of the Sailor Scouts, and what really happened to the moon kingdom. Meanwhile, Michael references a children’s book by Roger Hargreaves, Peter highlights some of the differences between the dub and the uncut version in the final episode, and both try to figure out how they actually feel about this dub.

Also included: a Rowdy Rough Boys recipe for everyone to try, Sailor Moon’s version of being “sent to another dimension”, Sailor Moon and Sentai shows

E34 – The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest Part 4



Watch out for those monsters, Quest Team! No, not the metaphorical monsters who are humans profiteering off deforestation, the invisible one trying to stop them!

Season 2 offers up a very consistent block of episodes, but Michael has some reservations about the writing. Meanwhile, Peter discusses his scale of animated explosions.

Also included: Monsters preventing historical tragedies, Jessie is a liability, the Triumvirate, and Surd in 2D

ReBoot

E28 – ReBoot Part 4



ReBoot takes entirely too long to show that Bob is back, the final showdown with Megabyte takes place, Hex gets a new mask, and the show hits the reset button.

Meanwhile, Michael continuously harps on the absurdity of removing two characters from an ensemble cast and expecting them to carry the show by themselves, Peter accidentally theorizes some probable creepy ReBoot fanfiction, and both lament the loss of Megabyte.

Also included: pregnant binomes, faster than light travel in Warhammer 40k, and a musical retelling of the plot of ReBoot.
