E100 – AKIRA



Only one of the most well-known anime ever.

A pair of childhood friends take radically different paths through the disintegrating society of Neo Tokyo. Meanwhile, Michael reveals some deep thoughts on anime, Peter gushes about, well, everything, and both hosts consider reading the manga on which this masterpiece was based.

Also included: a brief history of Power Rangers in Space, the serious impact of Ronin Warriors, and theorizing about the message of this movie.

E99 – Batman TAS Conclusion



It’s Gotham. A guy comes in with a costume and a gimmick, you give them your money.

Batgirl makes her return in an episode where Batman barely shows up at all. Meanwhile, Michael appreciates the treatment of Harley Quinn in a breakout episode, Peter nearly has a heart attack at the mention of a hated cartoon character, and both hosts reflect on this series as a whole.

Also included: Joker’s attempt at reformation, the chilling parallels between Jaleel White and Mary Louise Dahl, expanding the Batman universe with the inclusion of Jonah Hex.

E98 – Batman TAS Part 6



Crime continues running rampant in Gotham City, and only one man can stop it. Well, one man and maybe his ward.

Batman and Robin swing around the city, fighting crime and also occasionally the Joker. Meanwhile, Michael recognizes a distinctly normal shot from the show, Peter makes comparisons between the show and Tim Burton’s Batman films, and both hosts reveal their ignorance of comics.

Also included: Bane’s contract, Robocop 2 (maybe), the unfortunate fate of those who betray Rupert Thorne.

E97 – The Iron Giant



The tearjerking adventures of a small boy and a big robot.

A giant robot lands in the wilderness of Maine, befriends a young boy, and finds itself on the wrong side of the US Government. Meanwhile, Michael recollects a childhood memory, Peter praises Kent Mansley’s paranoid characterization, and both hosts are mildly surprised at the voice acting chops of Vin Diesel.

Also included: uncovering the sinister connection between the Iron Giant and Dark Gundam, why does the concept of Hell exist in Star Wars?

Batman TAS Part 6 will release on August 14th


E96 – G Gundam Conclusion



Who would have expected the secret to beating Dark Gundam, a nanotechnological monstrosity, would have been admitting your love for someone else?

Revelation after revelation pile up as the Gundam Fight heads towards its inevitable conclusion. Meanwhile, Michael tries to comprehend the Schwarz twist, Peter admits he was touched by the final words of Master Asia, and both hosts agree this show lived up to their expectations.

Also included: so many ridiculous Gundams, Chibodee’s soothing song revisited, Exploding Burning Sekiha Love-Love Tenkyoken.

The Iron Giant will release July 31st


MS39 – Tetsujin 28: The Lingering Midday Moon



Yet another work by Yasuhiro Imagawa that pays tribute to the originators of the giant robot genre, in this case *the* originator.

The Gundam Fight really heats up with Domon’s new Burning Gundam.

The final rounds of the Gundam Fight begin, and Dark Gundam fades into the background. Meanwhile, Michael is bothered by a rehashed plotline, Peter questions the rules of the Gundam Fight, and both hosts find themselves really enjoying the presence of Allenby Beardsley.

Also included: Peter’s dress tips, the return of the Black Tri-Stars, Go For It! Domon W leads Michael astray.

E94 – G Gundam Part 2



Domon returns to his old training grounds, the Guiana Highlands, to learn the secrets of Super Mode. Also, a ninja.

The Gundam Fight is really heating up as victors from around the globe gather in Neo Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Michael is annoyed by water, Peter reveals a vocabulary word, and both hosts question the validity of simply hiding until the final round.

Also included: the secret origin of Assassin’s Creed Ubisoft DOESN’T want you to know about, Shuffle Alliance Gundams, hot-blooded Shonen action!

Sailor Moon R: The Movie will release on September 12th


E93 – G Gundam



We’ve been waiting so long for this moment…

Gundams fight! And they fight! And they continue fighting, until only one is left. Meanwhile, Michael is suitably satisfied with Master Asia (The Undefeated of the East), Peter appreciates some of the technological body horror aspects of the DG cells, and both hosts shake their heads at the weird stereotyping that runs throughout the show.

Also included: Robo John McClane, Master Asia’s awesome martial arts, Neo Mexico: Seriously Guys?

G Gundam Part 2 will release on June 19th


MS36 – GI Joe: The Movie



The finale of the original GI Joe cartoon is infamous for several reasons, but damn if the opening sequence isn’t awesome.

GI Joe: The Movie starts strong, and then just kinda happens at you. Poor Cobra Commander…
