E140 – Finale

In the final episode, Michael and Peter discuss some highlights from the podcast, and try to determine, for one final time, what’s worth revisiting.

Thank you all for listening, and we’ll be sure to update you whenever we begin new projects. For the time being, all of our episodes can be found on our website, Hyperspacebroadcasts.com.

The music used during the opening intro and outro is Vapor Diving, by Anitek. Rights were secured through Jamendo, and you can find more of their music on Soundcloud.

E138 – Ɐ Gundam Part 3

Let this be a lesson not to get absolutely wasted in outer space.

The Willgame reaches space, and Loran stores something much more dangerous than a cow in the Gundam’s chest. Meanwhile, Michael tries to explain the charm of the show’s characters, Peter appreciates the Adeskan arc, and both hosts discuss an episode featuring a midnight sunrise.

Also included: the antics of people with an early 20th century understanding of the world… in space!

Ɐ Gundam Conclusion will release April 7th

E137 – Ɐ Gundam Part 2

Hey! Aren’t those Zakus?

Ɐ Gundam Part 3 will release March 24th

Called Turn “A” Gundam.

E135 – Dragon Ball Part 2

CONTENT NOTICE: Unfortunately, Dragon Ball has a LOT of humor based on sexual harassment and assault (we are NOT fans, for the record), so please proceed with caution.

Welcome to the World Martial Arts Tournament, where the best fighters in the world line up to get clobbered by Goku.

Goku meets his future best friend Krillin, and gets trained by the venerable, morally dubious Master Roshi. Meanwhile, Michael actually enjoys an episode, Peter talks about the funniest moment in the show, and both hosts continue to cringe at the show’s questionable subject matter for “jokes”.

Also included: multiple Simpsons references, the occasional hilarity of Dragon Ball, the best character Toriyama forgot

Turn-A Gundam part 1 will release February 24th

E134 – Dragon Ball Part 1

CONTENT NOTICE: Unfortunately, Dragon Ball has a LOT of humor based on sexual harassment and assault (we are NOT fans, for the record), so please proceed with caution.

An indestructible monkey boy and a vain teenage genius set out on a quest to find the seven magic Dragon Balls that can grant any wish.

For all the trouble they go through, these characters have some pretty basic wishes. Meanwhile, Michael is forced to reckon with his childhood in an uncomfortable way, Peter tries to find the silver lining, and both hosts struggle to explain the events of the show without sounding like total creeps.

Also included: “henchmens”, stanning for the Pilaf gang, Dragon Ball’s loose continuity

Dragon Ball Part 2 will release February 10th

E133 – Masters of the Universe

Nobody has the power this time around.

He-Man and pals accidentally arrive on earth, and everyone assumes their inter-dimensional transporter is a Japanese synthesizer. Meanwhile, Michael is disappointed by poor adaptational changes, Peter loves Skeletor’s gold armor, and both hosts try to figure out what happened to the residents of the California town where all the action takes place.

Also included: attempting to describe new characters, the saga of Lubic, maximum chaos in minimum space

Dragon Ball Part 1 will release January 27th

E132 – Record of Lodoss War Conclusion

A Cursed Island no longer, just a cursed show.

Spark’s journey reaches its conclusion, while our attention is constantly diverted to other characters reacting to the things Spark is actually dealing with. Meanwhile, Michael rants about the robotic interactions between the characters, Peter finds another in the few shows he unequivocally dislikes, and both hosts breathe a sigh of relief that it’s finally over.

Also included: animatronic flirting, overprotective dad villains, Star Wars: A New Hope as the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi

Masters of the Universe New Year’s Special will release January 13th

MS75 – Record of Lodoss War OVA

Surprising nobody, the OVA that actually starts at the beginning of the story is much better than the TV series where every bit of information is delivered through expository flashbacks.
