E126 – Yu Yu Hakusho Part 4

There’s a guy who evaporates his sweat into mist to provide cover for his attacks!

Team Urameshi battles on, with the tournament committee screwing them over at every turn. Guess that’s what you get when you enter a tournament filled with demons and rich crooks.

Meanwhile, Michael discovers another trope he doesn’t like very much, Peter argues for the merits of tournament arcs, and both hosts wonder who this mysterious masked fighter is.

Also included: comparing characters to Pokemon, chin goblins, what’s the deal with Puu?

Yu Yu Hakusho Part 4 will release October 14th

MS69 – Hunter X Hunter

A collection of goofy characters take a series of tests that aren’t all that they seem in pursuit of becoming Hunters. Also random Xs in titles.

E125 – Yu Yu Hakusho Part 3

Hey Yusuke, those brothers you fought against and just barely beat? They’re still alive, and they weren’t even really trying.

Yusuke and his fellow delinquents unwillingly enter a tournament full of demons. Meanwhile, Michael can’t stop talking about Transformers, Peter appreciates the delinquent charm, and both hosts praise the cheesy ’90s charm.

Also included: format changes, numerous comparisons to Dragon Ball Z, a startling revelation about the transforming Toguro, who is that masked fighter?

Yu Yu Hakusho Part 4 will release September 30th

MS68 -Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise Re:Visited

The newest Gundam Build series is over, and we thought it was prime for a follow-up, even if that’s mostly because it led to a silly title.

E124 – Transformers: Armada Conclusion

Transformers Armada ends with a whimper, not a bang. Quite literally, Unicron doesn’t even explode!

The battle finally gets to Cybertron, and somehow becomes even more confusing than ever before. Meanwhile, Michael is simply tired of talking about this show, Peter is disappointed by the ending, and both hosts revel in the knowledge that they’ll never have to watch another episode of Transformers: Armada.

Also included: the magic act of the Minicons, forgetting to mention a last-minute retitling, the toll of Transformers: Armada

Yu Yu Hakusho Part 3 will release September 16

MS67 – Transformers War for Cybertron Trilogy: Siege

Witness the beginning (well, kind of) of the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons, and also be reminded of how much better Transformers can be than Armada!

Next week: Transformers: Armada part 4 (finally!)

E123 – Transformers Armada Part 3

Surprisingly few outright errors this time around.

Twists and turns abound this season, and some of them even lead to character development! Meanwhile, Michael encounters one of his least favorite tropes, Peter is surprised to find that he actually kind of likes this season, and both hosts discuss things that came up in previous seasons and never again, despite seeming important.

Also included: somehow even MORE betrayals, a possible reference to the Battle of Endor, pining for Beast Wars

Transformers: Armada Part 4 will release August 26th

MS66 – Chargeman Ken

A small boy annihilates incompetent aliens who want to take over earth with kid sister and creepy robot in tow.

Next week: Transformers: Armada Part 3

E122 – Transformers Armada Part 2

Reinforcements arrive for both sides, which means we have even more opportunities for accidental misnaming.

Transformers continue fighting over their smaller cousins despite the Minicons not wanting to fight anymore. Meanwhile, Michael is even more dumbfounded by the lack of characterization for the Minicons considering their relative importance, Peter appreciates a rare moment of normal writing, and both hosts are overwhelmed by the sheer number of new characters. But at least they aren’t just Minicons.

Also included: redundant McGuffin names, endless betrayals, and even more dialogue mistakes!

Transformers: Armada Part 3 will release August 12th
